Job Title: Vice President of Finance

About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on financial leader to oversee all aspects of our organization’s finances. As VP of Finance, you will manage budgeting, reporting, accounting, risk management, and long-term financial planning to ensure strong fiscal health and compliance. This role is both strategic and operational, ideal for someone who thrives in a small nonprofit environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Oversee day-to-day accounting (AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations, reporting)
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS, audit, and grant requirements
• Track restricted/unrestricted funds and support grant reporting
• Present financial updates to leadership, Board, and Finance Committee
• Maintain internal controls and risk management policies
• Supervise finance staff/contractors and foster cross-department collaboration

About You

• Proven experience in financial management (nonprofit experience preferred)
• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills
• Comfortable balancing leadership with hands-on execution
• Collaborative, detail-oriented, and mission-driven
