About Achievement Centers for Children
Achievement Centers for Children is a Cleveland, Ohio based nonprofit that is nationally recognized for helping children with disabilities and their families achieve and thrive.

About the Pediatric Outpatient Program
Our pediatric speech and language pathologists diagnose and treat a wide variety of communication disorders, helping children and young adults strengthen language, communication, and speech skills. We incorporate alternative communication methods when appropriate, including sign language and computer aided communication. Treatment plans often include play based techniques that help children build skills while having fun in a child centered environment filled with toys, books, balls, and more.

Therapists develop treatment plans with input from the child’s family and care team. Plans are continuously monitored and adjusted to reflect each child’s changing needs, abilities, and interests. We also provide customized home programs that help caregivers support progress between appointments.

As part of our multidisciplinary outpatient model, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech language pathologists collaborate on evaluations to determine if ACC is the right setting for the client. Evaluations consider the level of physical and intellectual disability and our ability to accommodate needs based on current facility equipment and set up.
